Posted June 2, 200717 yr I know it is suppose to be a personal choice as to whether to clip wings or not. I have searched on this subject but have become confused as to whether it is best to clip just one wing or both. Some say just clip one then others will say do both. I'm not sure what to do for the best.
June 2, 200717 yr Please, always do both wings. Clipping just one places way too much stress on one side of the birds body. Feathers.

Just expanding on this! Start with just 4, but test to see if you need to do more. My brothers little devil has about 7 clipped on each side and can STILL fly very well and get into trouble.
June 3, 200717 yr Bea that is how Pretty was he did a full clip because all he needed was like 2 flights on each side and he was off getting lift
June 4, 200717 yr The tip is to clip the longest flights, not the shorter ones. 2 on each side and Boris could still get into trouble, 3 on each side & she can save herself from harmful falls but not get into trouble.
