But really Daz it was great to have your input today.

Where's the Daz photos ? :D

The birds are looking very happy in their space Nerwen :)

You have a lot of really beautiful birds, there, Nerwen. :)

Feathers.

They are gorgeous Nerwen, it is great to see your birds again.

I love your rainbow of color and mutations.

Great shots there Nerwen. I love your birds, very pretty. I especially like Minka. What does the melanistic part mean??

:)

Hey Nerwen we need to start a topic with Members of Melanistic Spangles :), your pics and Daz and I am sure they will become more popular. It can be added to the mutation PINNED topic that Bea did. What do you think?

Melanistic means that as they molt out the marking from the shoulders look normal but they gradually turn into spangle markings by the time they get to the tips of the wings (I believe that is correct).

they are all beautiful. I love the spangles you got - their wing markings are awesome!!

Close Elly.

When the first feather up in the nest they have normal wing markings with the clear spangle tail (and maybe a head spot)

Then as they moult into their adult feathers the marking fade to almost the same as a normal spangle.

Cheers guys. It is quite unusual markings - I hadn't seen it before. Very pretty!

:D

Great to see your flock again! You've got beautiful budgies. :)

oops I think I just posted on Daz's thread instead of hear.(Laughing out loud)

I love al your birds and they are looking great Nerwen.

 Love them all, pretty, pretty colors but especially Tootie and Kree! :P
