okay Now i've heard of the Boys geting frisky with their owner and toys

But this is just FUNNY

In my aviary i put a sheet of square mesh on the soild side so i can put branches in there

but that left gaps in the corigate part so i put old sheets in there (As angel got stuck )

Now my 2 girls are fighting over the one piece that sticks out a it

they look like well they wiggle themselves on it

BASCIALLY THEY ARE GETTING THEIR JOLLYS OF ON IT

Now is this normal, there are 3 hens and 2 cocks in the aviary

No one is mating

It is behaviour that is very often seen in male budgies. Maybe you just have very excitable females

You can't really tell but here is a picture (Laughing out loud)

ANGEL.jpg

I remember at the pine river bird show watching one have great old time with the water dish for most of the day. It wasn't until close to the end of judging that I found it it was a HEN!

Are you sure they are not seeing it as a nice opening to a good nest?

Pretty sure they aren't as I have to rearrange it every day to make sure they can't get stuck there are nestboxes in there and angel the one you can see here owns one

Such a crack up when you see at shows, where they are supposed to be nicely behaved little budgies :D

At yesterdays budgie show, at least 70% of all the budgies that came first were "humping" the bars of their show cage or their drinkers, while one budgie was madly making "moves" on the top righthand bars of HIS showcage :D

It's all the rain we are having at the moment. It has bought them all into breeding condition. My budgies are very noisy lately.

They might have a itch,{ I would put a third nest box in.As the saying goes.1 more nest box, then there are hens.
