:sad: My budgies Jade and Emi have hatched two chicks but unfortunately one died but I have one healthy little chick and she if fostering 3 eggs from another pair. The baby, to me, has plum eyes but neither parents are cinnamon or carry it that I know of. The parents:

They are both spilt to blue and the mother of this chick has some blue around her legs and its was very noticable as a baby but isn't as much now. Father is green dominant pied also split for blue and maybe spangle but I dout the baby will be that. Thanks and Ill get pics of the baby first thing tomorrow!

You say neither parents are carrying cinnamon, but the hen appears in these photos to be cinnamon green. Do you have a clearer photo ? You see, I have cinnamon green budgies that look just like your hen and I also have a greywing green budgie that does NOT look like your hen. So you must have a cinnamon green hen and that might explain the eyes of the baby :sad:

A cinnamon hen alone wont give you a cinnamon baby. Dad has to be split or be cinnamon , for you to have a visable cinnamon.

 

If Mum is cinnamon and not dad her sons will be split to cinnamon

.

If Dad is split to cinnamon and Mum not you could get some daughters cinnamon If he was cinnamon all daughters would be cinnamon.

 

And parents are not spangle..
