Posted May 11, 200718 yr Here are 6 new budgies I got on Tuesday. They are all from a breeder where I got alot of my other budgies. I don't have names for all of them yet so some suggestions would be great. I think they are pretty. Violet boy dom? pied girl Jubilee even tho she has a special foot she has raised some beautiful babies in the past and was a great mum. double factor spangle? Sherbie boy or girl? olive green cinnamon boy spangle what? yellow face blue girl So have I got their mutations nearly correct?
May 11, 200718 yr Could you just pack up the dom pied girl, Jubilee(second photo), and send her over here please. I would love to have her in my flock. The first and last birds would be good over here as well. As far as mutations go it would be easier to tell if the photos were taken at a time when the light was more even, rather than late afternoon it looks like. The bird that you have listed as a DF spangle looks like it has a male pink cere, but I can't see clearly enough. If it is I would say it is a lutino. The second last may be a clearwing, but again I can't see enough of it to say properly. Side on photos that show front and back and the cere of each would be useful. Feather.
May 11, 200718 yr I love the first and second birds.I think I have a thing for the grey birds for some reason.The spangle looks like my daughters budgie in my sig,Chipy. They are all beautiful though.
May 11, 200718 yr that last bird is exactly what ive been looking for over here...also the bird you said was a double factor spangle(Sherbie) looks more like a male to me by the pinkish cere but i would say if it has a red eye it would be lutino if it has a black eye maybe more along the lines of recessive pied....but the photos arent the clearest so im not positive (about 99.9% sure about Sherbie being a male though )

May 11, 200718 yr Beautiful Birds As feathers said if she has red eyes a lutino but if dark eyes with no iris ring then a Darke Eyed Clear. She would not be a recessive pied. Pictures of the front of your birds in question and the back in natural light with no shadows and such would help figure them out better for sure. Congrats!

May 11, 200718 yr Lovely birds. #1- You have mutation correct I think. How about King or Prince? #2- Dominant pied grey. She's gorgeous. #3- Red eyes or black? If red I say cremino or lutino. How about you put a stamp on Sherbie and send him to Ohio?? Male I think. #4- You have mutation correct I think. How about Olive? #5- Spangle Light Green diluted from spangle. How about Pickle? #6- Yellowface Type 1 Blue. How about Sunny or SunShine or Skye because she looks like the sky with sun in it? Don't ask me how I come up with names I just do... May 13, 200718 yr Author They are reallly great names, clouds!! Violet - King Budgie!!! I am going to call the yellow face blue SkyeBlu I can't call the olive, olive cos I already have an Oliver. I will have to think about that a bit more. And Pickles it is. Thanks for the great names.

May 14, 200718 yr Author I love that idea Clouds!! My Pa's name was Jack. That suits him perfect!! We don't have the Apple Jack thingys you were talking about. What are they? I went to Hawaii a couple of years ago now and I fell in love with peanut butter cups!!!! We can't get them over here. I just love USA lollies!!!
