Yes, today i threatened to call consumer affairs and they immediately agreed to fully refund both cages.

Well i now have 2 black vein powder coated cages paid for and i expect they will leave the seller tomorrow and be here by Thurs or Fri. Then the dodgy cages can be refunded at the weekend and all this fun forgotten about.

Absolutely fantastic Bea. I have absolutely no doubt you will be so much happier with the new ones. I love mine. Well done for not dropping the issue and putting the pressure on.

I almost gave up, but then i noticed the chipping paint on the budgie cage frame and that refuelled my anger, so i sent my angry email and everything went right! Very satisfying. Can't wait to get my new cages.

Cages arrived today - first one we open, exposed metal EVERYWHERE!! :budgiedance: Little spots and parts not powder coated properly just waiting to rust. And on one of the side panels it's barely powdercoated, it looks dull and feels different to the rest of the cage. Dad's telling me that my expectations of a perfect cage are unrealistic and that i should just accept it but I WILL NOT!! This cage we've opened is WORSE than the ones i'm taking back. :ausb: I'm going to have to contact the eBay seller and see what to do about it. I'm so angry!!!

OMG about the new cage. Your expections are not too high you expect a cage with no rust that is realistic. Just like when you buy anything new it should be in excellent condition.
