May 5, 200718 yr HiToday I put Sammi into an aviary with 5 other birds. What Im wondering is will he stay tame beacause 4 of the other birds arent. I would really like to know. Thanks. hi, i put my tame female budg in the cage with non tame birds and after one night in the cage she was nolonger a tame bird. i hope this helps. stacey
May 5, 200718 yr I believe that it depends on the bird and also the amount of bonding between you and Sammi, but I have found that tame birds will at least remain more calm in the presence of your hand compared to other aviary birds, I have found also that if the tame bird finds a mate he has a less likely chance of remaining tame as his attention will be on the other bird. Most of my aviary birds are tame just from spending alot of time sitting in the avairy, so as I said before it depends on the birds, the strength of the human bird bond and how much time you spend in the aviary with the birds. Thanks Carri
May 5, 200718 yr hi carri, i must agree i also spend alot of time in my aviry and find the birds to b much quieter than my friends birds. my aviry is my time out place, i enjoy watching my budgies and finches do there thing.
May 5, 200718 yr I agree there with Carrie. I you just put her iin and then come back in a week and think she will be tame as she was she won't be but if you are a frequent visitor to your avairy on a daily basis with time spent you never know she may.
May 9, 200718 yr i would have to agree on how it really depends on the bird because some birds stay tame others dont after they have stayed with other non tame birds
