Also baby 2 looks like it has a yellow tinge on its head, but not sure you can see properly in the photo. This is baby 1. Baby 1 Baby 1 Baby 2 Its tail looks to have blue tinges and it head I think has yellow colours. Baby 2 Baby 2 Baby 2 Baby 2 I hope you can get something from these pics.
May 1, 200718 yr I got major overload of cuteness!!!! Sorry I'm no good at the genetics thing, especially babies.I love the colouring of the first baby,it looks so soft and cuddly.
May 1, 200718 yr Only see the head in most pics and they are cute cute cute.... What were the parents?
May 11, 200718 yr Author Here are the parents. Paris Honks This is not a good picture but you get the idea that he is white. He also has a small blue tinge to one shoulder. Baby 1 This bub is so wriggly this was THE only clear picture I could get of it. Baby 2 Has yellow face and a grey body. The wings and tail also have yellow and spangle markings I think I am going to tame this little one. It seems to be very snuggly and very cute. I just love the colouring too What sexes do you think the bubs are? What mutation is baby 2? Thank you.
May 11, 200718 yr It is hard to tell the mutations of some because of the way you are holding them Baby 1 is a beautiful blue you will need to take a front and back picture of him Baby 2 Yellow Face Grey Spangle (2 or 1 not sure yet wait until he feathers up more a bit) looks like it will be a 2 though As with sexing I leave that to the experts that can sex them at a young age
May 11, 200718 yr Author They try to climb out of the container so I had to hold them. I will get some better pics over the weekend.
May 12, 200718 yr They are very cute! I have a budgie called Paris as well ... but male. Just had to 'cause my name is Helen.
May 12, 200718 yr Beautiful! :budgiedance: I have to wait for better pics to tell mutations but I think both are females. Keep updating pictures!
May 12, 200718 yr OMG!! I love bub two!! not that I don't love bub one.. but boy a YF grey spangle!! I want one!! I am planning on putting a pair together that will produce that mutation, but not yet.. :budgiedance: not right now anyway.. gosh, soooo cute!! so that means that the dad is masking grey colour? the baby could be mauve though, but I think it looks more grey.. I have to wait to see the cheek patches when they come in a bit more..
May 12, 200718 yr both great looking bubs. It is hard to tell the ceres but I think bub 1 is a boy and bub 2 a girl.
May 13, 200718 yr They are both spangle, arn't they? Very cute.. Baby one looks like a clearwing spangle. Dad looks to be DF spangle I can't see his back has he got colour? Baby 2 is just very cute.. I would agree with nerwen at this stage on the sex but it is early and it may be wrong..
May 14, 200718 yr Author Today out in the aviary I was checking the bubs and giving the birds the veges when I heard the angry budgie noise coming from the nest box!! I looked in the door and sure enough the little blue was honnking his heart out wanting corner box space. He is just as grumpy and Honky as the dad. (Thats why honks is called honks) The grumpy runs in the family!!! Like father like son.........I think
