Posted April 30, 200718 yr Custard and Pudding have 7 babies in a nest. Some are their babies and some are adopted. I will get more piks tomorrow, but here is one I took today....Looks like Custard, but where Custard is grey this one is pale blue. Has lemony yellow colouring throughout, cinnamon wings, Yellowface, is opaline, and it has a pale blue chest. So I am guessing it is Yellowface, cinnamon, opaline, cobalt dominant pied. Am I right ? I will take pictures of the others tomorrow. CUSTARD Edited April 30, 200718 yr by Kaz

A little girl...good We can call her BIH after her "aunty" :rip: It was dark in the birdroom when I took the pictures, but her wing markings are cinnamon with pale blue through the top of them and creamy yellow flights . OH...I nearly forgot...we might have a DF dom pied as the youngest baby Edited April 30, 200718 yr by Kaz

May 8, 200718 yr Author BELIEVE IT OR NOT !! Custard and Pudding now have 10 babies in their care !! They had three of their own and raised 3 others from newly hatched. Makes 6. The other day some new parents rasing 4 babies stopped feeding their babies at around 2-3 weeks. I started supplement feeding them but put 3 of them them in Custard and Puddings nest with the 7 others for warmth in between feeds. Within a day Custard and Pudding were feeding the new 3 babies as well. As some of the older babies were near to fledging they spend the day on the breeder cage floor and the youngest ones in the nest. The older ones are grazing for seed already, so it looks like it will work out. I can still supplement feed any that need it. Custard and Pudding look good and not stressed and they are getting good food treats as well. Here is Custard and Puddings three own babies Here is some of the crowd in the nest. Three were in the breeder cage when this was taken Edited May 14, 200717 yr by Kaz

May 13, 200717 yr Author Ten babies in the care of Custard and Pudding...5 in the nest and 5 out. And what do you think Pudding has done ? She had a glint in her eye, has been chasing Pudding for budgie bonks and has laid an egg in the nest amongst 5 chicks. Little Tart !! Well, she wont be going for round 3 of baby making I can tell you. I have given her egg to another hen. If she lays anymore, they will be given away too. I hope the chicks are out of the nest soonish or I may have to remove Pudding to another cage.
