I'm so sorry that she didn't make it. It must be tough to have to rely on your parents when they aren't able to help you in times like this. Perhaps your mom will understand the importance of getting a sick bird in to the vet asap now, and if you get another bird in the future she will be able to help you right away.

Should there come a time that you would like to get another budgie (or any pet for that matter) read up on all required care and you must first make sure that your parents will assist you in accessing vet care should it be needed. Again, glad you tried to help your buddy and so sad this had to happen.

Yes. I only have one Bird now (Cockatiel) And i won't let it happen to him. But after what happened to my little budgie, My mum has decided not to get any more birds until i have a house of my own. Thanks guys. I hope to talk to you agian in future.

Oh dear, I was reading through just now with increasing urgency and I'm so sad to hear how it ended. I'm sorry for your loss. It is a hard lesson and I am glad that you did learn from it and understand what to do in future.

 

(I'm not sure if this applies to you, but I understand the different view of animals from an Asian sort of background (ie they're not worth more than what you paid for it to begin with). I hope your family is not like mine and just get annoyed at you for caring. )

 

You can take the time now to learn all you can about taking care of birds, and in future when you get another budgie you will be able to detect things like this earlier, and make better decisions (for yourself, too. It's so hard having to rely on parents.)

 

Again, I am glad that you have taken something out of this that you might have learnt for life. I'm sorry it had to be the hard way. Your little budgie is flying free now.

That is a good decision on your mom's part and was your cockatiel by your budgie a lot whatever brought her down your tiel could have so watch for symptoms. After Pretty died I got Merlin into the avian vet for a complete check-up to ensure he was okay. ((hugs))

Calvin, I'm so sorry to hear about your little sweetie - I caught up with this thread immediately to see how she was doing. I didn't realise how young you were and that you had to rely on your Mum - don't beat yourself up about it mate okay? ((hug))

thanks.. im feeling a bit better. But one things for sure. I will beat myself up for the sake's of my bird's life. I will not forget that day. I will keep the hollow feeling i still have in my heart for memory. I wont let it happen agian. That is a promise.
