How To Get Louy Down Low!

Featured Replies

Posted

At this stage i can say Louy is tame but their is one problem. He has a fear of lows!

I have tried treats but it dosnt work!

The best i have done is he went on me when i was laying on my bed but then he eventualy flew off!

Please can you help me!?

Most birds, especially little budgies, like to be up high. This is a natural instinct as it puts them in a position where they can see their predators and hopefully be too high for a predator to catch them and make a meal out of them.

All you can do is try to make your budgie feel safe with you by offering treats, as you have been doing.

Feathers.

This is natural instinct if you like him flighted it is one thing that you will have to deal with as this is their nature. Offering treats to entince them back to you is what I did with Pretty. Pretty full flighted was a stinky bird :D to say the least. They gain their independence.
