I really love the blue coloration coming in

Their Dad is a sky violet so I am wondering if that depth of colour is from him :huh:

A grey green hen that I bread...has layed 4 eggs only...3 are a good size...1 is double the size

 

oooer, that would be interesting, two people on the forum having twins close together... I will be watching this story with interest.

They are both colouring up slightly different to each other, but the same rate of feather development

Here is some piks of the TWINS..........STEEL AND SAPPHIRE

They are fairly heavy birds and their feather is long and fluffy. Going okay, these ones.

STEEL is the quieter of the two. SAPPHIRE just wants to take off all the time. Sapphire has mostly blue on her chest and STEEL has mostly white.

A good pair.

Still in the nest Daz, but their feathers feel loose and fluffy when I handle them. Their father won a first in Novice recently ...he is a nice sky violet normal....very long bird :blink:

What is the other chicks.. These are Sky Blues. ... I'll try to work out the violet factor for you.

No other chicks. The mother didnt care for her chicks very well.

Exciting to see such beautiful babies. The parents look very much like the blue pair I just put up.........Makes me very excited to see babies from tham!!
