can you give budgies rolled oats????

 

Hi Neat,,,,,,,,,,,I give my birds rolled oats,, dry ( I give them the savings brand rolled oats like uncle tobys) not everyday, probaly a couple of times a month.

 

They love it,,,,I give it sometimes when they are breeding as well.

Thanks Paul.... I know of the hulled oats but i couldn't remember ( pretty sure i was told before)

I thought as a treat they get their seeds veggies and greens and the seeds that I'm growing....

I guess a pintch every month or so would be nice for them... I have "Home Brand" in the cupboard...

Well I've just come in from outside where I've just given them all, some rolled oats. They are tucking into it.

Interesting I might try this and see if mine like it.

(Laughing out loud) do they actually ingest any of it I have some oats in the cupboard that the ringnecks like to munch on but i've never tried them with the budgies.. think ill go try them on some now

While my birds were boarding at Avian Suites, they were given Kashi, a natural whole grain cooked cereal with 7 different grains in it. They LOVED it!!! Ate the bowl clean.

it should be okay. I feed it to my budgies..

I remembered the oat just this morning and added a handful to the veggie mix. I didn't see anything left on the plate a moment ago when I said hello after work.

So I searched up if rolled oats are healthy and didn't exactly get answers I did here that budgies like them but is it healthy?
