I am glad to be here thanks to some direction from a friend on a different set of budgie forums. I am just now moving into breeding my budgies and she thought this site would be a great place for me to get information and help should the need arise.

Im a single mom of 3, live in Upstate NY and ever since our first budgie "Larry Bird" (the aforementioned kids named her) showed up in our back yard about 3 years ago, we have been hooked.

Our family is now 4 budgies strong. Two girls and two boys. They are pictured below.

Well anyway, hello to everyone.

Hi Snip,

Welcome to our forum :fear

Your budgies are looking like they LOVE their clever perching arrangement :(

Welcome and I answered your questions on your other post :fear

Your flock is lovely.

Hiya Snip, welcome to the BBC forum. I'm sure you will love it here. There is so much information and some wonderful people.

Feathers.

Hello!

That's a lovely family!

I also have a family of four. Not sure about the gender. I haven't learned how to mail pictures; as soon as I do I will seek help in determining the gender. I also have a brightly green girl and a blue boy. Also a lutino and an unusual gentle blueish girl Bubble.

:fear Hello to you Snip and your flock! Love their perch and looks like they enjoy it as well! :P

Welcome to the boards! Awesome looking perch there. What kind of wood is that might I ask? Good to see another New Yorker as well..... :P

Great birds by the way!

Snip!!!!! I am glad you made it. I can only guess your eyes are burning from all the reading on this site. I know mine were. Glad you posted your hello. Isn't this site awesome? Hope you are finding the info you need on breeding. Lord knows the answers are here.

Amazing amounts of info.... I agree completely. Most couldnt have come at a better time. I am so glad to see a familiar face as well, Keet Crazy. :)

Last Budgie: It is a perch/gym that I built with my boyfriend for my babies to play on. It is made from Adirondack mountain wood - and is a combination of yellow birch and ash (both safe woods for birds). The yellow birch still has the bark on it and the ash is the wood that looks stripped bare.

Here is a better picture of the whole gym.

It was quite easy to make and the kids just LOVE it. Especially when I put it in the front window of the living room. They will hang out there and chatter at the wild birds outside as long as I will let them all stay there.
