Hey all... while at petco getting seeds and such, i had to go check up on the birds. One caught my attention, it was all gray, with what looked like opaline wings with a bright yellow head. What mutation would this be? I've never seen one before!

sounds like a yellow face 1 or 2 opaline grey :bluebudgie: check out the mutation PINNED link now that Bea did and click on opaline and see if there is one in there.

i'll take a look, i hadnt heard of a gray variety of a yft1 or 2

I LOVE yellow face greys. In a budgie show recently was a Yellow face grey spangle..STUNNING. To add to his colour the poor thing had broken a blood feather on his head while showing and the cage and budgie was a mess. He was taken out of the show. :bluebudgie:

awe Kaz :bluebudgie:, I do agree though the YF greys are very stunning and to find one in the US or at least by me is rarity.

I have the most gorgeous YF soft grey budgie, that I acquired as an exhibition budgie. I will be thinking long and hard anout what to pair him too.

They are pretty birds.

Feathers.

Oh my favourite yellowface grey has got to be CUSTARD!! I want him!!! :) I don't think Kaz is going to give him up.. hehehe.....
