Cere Colour Gone

Hey all

I have a hen that has layed eggs recently but now her cere has gone back to white

she is still sitting on her eggs and i have candled them and as far as i can tell they are

all going to hatch we have 4 the last one laid wed 2 weeks ago.

I was wondering if that was normal or is she lacking in something?

They have fruit/veg, cuttle bone and an iodine bell, good quality seed and fresh water.

I also have 2 other pairs in the colony and they are all still going strong.

They too have 4 eggs each and are sitting like good mums.

(No changes in their cesers though.)

if anyone can help that would be great.

Sounds like you caught her at the end of her high fertile cycle. Make sure she has plenty of calcium and protein for when the babies arrive. And I would suggest at stopping her after these ones have grown up.
