New Budgies From Show Breeder

Here are just some of the new boys and girls I bought yesterday from one of the top show breeders around here. I came home with 11 birds but now have the kind of birds I need to start breeding some good chicks. Hope you like them.

Well, you know what I think of your latest acquisitions. I'm coming around to see them in person.. how's Wednesday? Nathan said he may be able to get there after work too.

Sounds great to me.... :budgiedance:

Nice birds I wish you luck with them.

:bluebudgie: I want them all please please please :D there so cool just luv the second one cute as you did well to get such good breeding stock

well all the best and I hope your breeding goes well for you :budgiedance:

Very nice. Lots seem to have that flecking. Isn't that considered a "fault". I would take em all in an instant fleck or no fleck :budgiedance: I really like the yf in second picture. Is it mauve or grey?

Love the first one the grey male (about the middle) and the dominant pied

Yes, flecking is a fault on the show bench, but it is only responsible for 15 points in the area of markings, so if the rest of the bird is good you can still win.

That grey cock cost me more than any budgie I have ever paid for but he's lovely. The dominant pied is the daughter of another pair I bought at the same time. She may be my Winstons future wife. :D

Beautiful birds, I am sooooo!!! green (with envy that is). You should end up with some really good chicks out those birds, I really wish you luck. :):D

Thanks heaps :D I finally figured out you have to pay good money for quality and you have to buy from the successful breeders and ones who are winning on the show bench. :)

Also match a flecked bird to a clear cap and you can get babies with out the fleck.

Yep. Robd has one related to the flecked boy and due to his educated pairing ability, his has bred babies without the fleck.

Their lovely- love the first 2, the yf grey in the other picture (not shown) has an awesome head on him. Also really like the first male. Can't wait to see their babies- you're gonna have to move house soon and find a few acres somewhere!!

No need to move. I have room for another 200 budgies if I wanted to :budgiedance:

Once again Karen you have chosen well,,you certainly have an eye

for good birds.

Good luck, and I can't wait to see the babies when they come.

Just hoping they will be good parents :budgiedance:

Wish that was true.. I have paired flecked to clean and got about half & half.

You can get birds that are split to flecked.

I have a bird like that. Paired two clean caps and got this one.

Spangle Opaline Grey Hen

The Sire and Dam was both clean caped. I think he is split to flecked.

:hap: I did say CAN not WILL.

So you paid more for the grey I like. Does that mean I have good taste? :D
