Could anyone tell me what kinds of bubs I could expect from this pair? I'm hopeless with genetics and that sort of stuff...

Do you know the the male is split blue?

 

If not:

Green opalines/ blue

Yellow Texas Clearbody Opaline hens/ blue

 

If so:

Green opalines/ blue

Blue Opalines

Yellow Texas Clearbody Opaline hens/ blue

White Texas Clearbody Opaline hens

Do you know what his parents were. He may either have 2 Clearbody Genes or 1 Clearbody and 1 -ino. So all of his daugthers may be Clearbodies or some may be Clearbodies and some may be Lutinos

 

Males would be opaline and carrying genes for Clearbody and blue

Thanks heaps. I don't know what his parents looked like, I bought him at a pet shop. I was hoping I'd get some like him cause I think he's gorgeous!

Yes you will get some like him, his daughters.

 

Good point Hurdy. Clearbody is like half an Ino gene, it removes some of the grey pigments in the bird but not all. So the Ino and Clearbody gene work together as would two clearbody genes.
