April 24, 200718 yr Just a quick note that this morning, the fifth day after her splint was removed, she is using her leg even more. Seems like she is definitely building up strength and while she may never bee 100%, she will certainly have enough strength that she should be able to live a long and healthy life.
April 24, 200718 yr I can't believe how I have totally missed out on your topic I was enthralled with the way the story unfolded and I am so happy for you that its working out. Frisky might have some surprises for you yet. They're amazing things at healing. All the best to you and your feathered babes. :angel1:
April 25, 200718 yr I also missed this last time and my aplogies - I have a budgie that had his leg caught in the cage door and suffered the same damage. When he first did it I thought his leg was dead, but after several weeks and several splints (he kept pulling them off silly boy) his leg is as good as new. To look at him now you wouldn't believe that it had ever happened. Here is my thread on the topic from last year http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....=0entry144533
April 25, 200718 yr My apologies for missing this one myself, glad everything is going in the right direction!
