in the next yr if i were to breed my female with the same male again would the babies come out the same??

I'm not sure of the birds you are talking about but depending on what colours/markings they are carrying, the next clutch could be the same or totally different. If the birds are carrying lots of markings- hidden or showing- it means the more combinations you can have and more likely to be different next year.

Yes and No, it;s highly likely that you will get the same looking babies but there can be hidden gene that are produced the next time around which didn't late time.

Is this the pair that had splayed babies and the female killed one or two of them? Are you asking if they would be splayed again or are you asking about colors? If this is the pair, maybe it would be better not to breed them again.

I thought you said you wouldnt be breeding again until you learnt a lot more about care of parents and babies. What was the end result of the last lot of babies and how did the splay legged baby turn out ?

well those two died and two of them are all grown up out the nest eating and drinking by themselves

im not breeding birds until im 110% sure that they are on top condition

That is good to hear. It is sad to see deformed or sickly babies. Even though their personalities might be perfect and they still make good companion birds, sometimes you just think ...what if things had been different???...

 

The more mutations the parent birds contain, the harder it is to tell what the babies will look like.
