Hi peoples, just wandering if anybody has heard of an Ameranthus Plant, a woman who lives close to me writes articles for the Australian Bird Keeper Magazine swears by them for there nutrition and wholeness for budgies.

 

So I planted some seeds and started to grow some for my self, she reckons they go nuts over them and that they are real good for birds.

 

So I picked a few leaves and flowers and gave some to my birds and hey presto, they love it.

I do know the plant Paul, but had no idea that it was good for budgies and loved by them. Thanks for the info..

Interesting. Is it a local plant in Oz? I wonder if i can find seeds in the us. off to do a google search! (Laughing out loud)
