okay i know i have seen the post somewhere in here but i cant seem to find it.

 

Can someone give me a list of the colours and the years they were put on as i have aquired about 7 birds this year with all different coloured bands.

 

P.S can anyone tell me the closest budgie club to Emerald QLD as i need to join and get some bands of my own.

From my club in Canada in Southern Ontario under the Avicultrual Advancement Canada the bands that I have seend:

 

 

2002 - Navy Blue

2005 - Metal (No color)

2006 - Orange

2007 - Purple

Ring Colour and Year. - Australia

 

2001 - Green

2002 - Black

2003 - Red

2004 - Blue

2005 - Purple

2006 - Gold

2007 - Green

2008 - Black

Besides the colour band the year is usually stamped onto the band as well....

i.e. 06, 04 and sometimes -4 or -6 meaning 2004 or 2006 etc.

The "-" can be replaced by triangles and other markings. The ANBC do this at the last minute so no one can copy the rings.
