I have this hen breeding at the moment but am unsure of what type she is i was told that she is a harliquine but i have never really found out so i was looking for your expert help.

I've noticed you say goldenface type 2 several times now. How can goldenface be type anything? I thought it was like yellowface type 3? So there's yf1, yf2 and goldenface?

Golden face just refers to the depth of colour in the mask as far as I know Bea. In show breeding we are told that Yellowface is a pale lemony yellow and golden face is bright strong gold. Correct me if I am wrong. :P

And aslo golden face is used more often when the body turn to a green that looks like a normal green. The type 2 is still used becuase the yellow bleeds into the body just like the yellowface.

 

I agree with Karen on their types but thought to let you know harlequins is another term used for Recessive pieds in australia.
