Posted February 27, 200718 yr I had exceptional circumstances and had 2 clutches but all my babies were adopted by people I know so I can keep track of all of them. One of my co-workers adopted Echo and Lemon (from different clutches). Echo, (the green one) can talk, is very friendly and will fly to anybody to land on their shoulder and chat! Lemon the female isn't AS tame but she still is great! :ygbudgie: http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c151/Pho...c/DSC_0524a.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c151/Pho...c/DSC_0538a.jpg I am so proud of all my babies, they are tame and delighting their owners! February 27, 200718 yr Awe Robin they look great I think they had their clutch just a little over a year ago and they bred on the bottom of the cage. Poor Pheobe you still have eggs coming
February 27, 200718 yr They are pretty. It's great that you can still keep track of them. The yellow one looks like a male to me.
February 27, 200718 yr Phoebe - how great that you can keep track of them. I hope to keep track of my babies too. I'll certainly be able to keep track little P because well - he's staying with me
February 28, 200718 yr I do apologize for this messy post, Photobucket kept crashing and I was getting annoyed and didn't know what had been resized to proper size and what hadn't (thanks to Bubbles for fixing it up!). Tried to make it pretty tonight but it doesn't seem to cooperate, oh well! Lovely you are keeping Precious, Shawna, he/she will always be your "special" budgie, Hurdy, we always thought that Lemon was a male from the getgo but it didn't turn out that way, she and Echo have to be separated sometimes in different cages when she becomes a "witchy woman" but they get along for the most part. Riebie, as I recall, Echo was born in May or June 2005 and Lemon in September, and Scotie, they were raised in the bottom of a plant pot container with washable material (which I changed daily) to give them traction. Unfortunately (but maybe not), my saga is too old and has been deleted. There are still some remains of it under Breeder's Chat, Egg Laying without a Nesting Box. Being a rescue person, I have never wanted to procreate but I was advised by a retired budgie breeder to "let them go at it and get it out of their systems" and nobody ever thought that the eggs would hatch anyhow. But they did and all babies went to friends and one to my avian vet as she knew that her bub was free of disease. They were handled several times on a daily basis and that's why they are so tame. Won't go into details but one of my females still loves to lay eggs (without a male companion and defies hormone shots). It has been suggested that I run a chicken farm. But the best part of this is I know where all the babies went and get updates on a regular basis.
