Posted February 27, 200718 yr It's been awhile so it's time for an update. We've moved. We finally got at least the budgies at the new house with us. We're still in the process of moving the finches and the fish. So, I'm posting some pics of the budgies in their new house. Lucky - she's going through the moult from h*ll right now. She's in condition as well. Here's Tango (green) and Mango (blue) Kirby, notice her cere??? Nothing going on between Tango and Mango though. I've never noticed any breeding behaviour. But at least I know for sure that she's getting old enough soon.
February 27, 200718 yr Author I'll try for one, but she never did like the camera and tends to shy away and hide behind whatever she can.
March 3, 200718 yr Author She's actually from one of the bird club members who no longer breeds budgies. I got her in a roundabout way through a friend that lives in Windsor.
March 6, 200718 yr Author They are looking good. Would love to see a full body shot of Tango. Well. here's the best I could get. I took this on Saturday I believe.
March 6, 200718 yr Thanks SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH LISA!!!! I really miss Tango She was, and even more now, of a gorgeous bird!!! You're such a good new mum though! I couldn;t have asked for a better owner! Whoa, the last shot, *REALLY* blew me away Lisa!!! Thanks for making 'my' girl into a happy lady, and such a stunning bird Flick
March 6, 200718 yr Author Thanks for letting me get her. She's been a very interesting addition to all the other birds. She definitely has an attitude and will most likely be the one that you hear complaining (if you hear any (Laughing out loud)). She's definitely the boss. The next thing will be to hope for breeding one day. I'm not in any hurry as we're going away for most of June. Yes.... I have someone coming in to take care of the animals..
March 6, 200718 yr Thanks. She looks really pretty - a lot more green than I remember. You know I still don't see the spangle in her. If she has it it doesn't show up well in pictures.
March 13, 200718 yr Author You'd see it in person. And on the feathers she drops. (Laughing out loud)
March 13, 200718 yr (Laughing out loud) i wish i was the caretaker! (Laughing out loud) Im SOOO EXCITED for when you breed her to Mango!!! You will get all greens though, as Tangos parents were green spangle, and olive green hen... Oh, shes a dilute too (Tango)... Yea, shes very dominant. Hence why she attacked a few of my older birds She always wanted to be on top, and it would never work I know Shawna I would try to post pics of her as a baby, and no one would believe me shes a spangle! Here's some baby piccies! Kirbs
