...of my budgie, Snowflake. (I haven't posted on this site for awhile, but you guys were so great in helping me determine what mutation he is.) Snowflake turned one-year-old on 11/25/06. He has become quite good friends with my p'let, Papi, and one of my lovies, Coconut. Coconut is the only one of my five lovies that I can trust around my non-lovie birds. Here is a picture of the two of them spending some time together (it's clickable). :)

I've also been meaning to ask, does the blue patch on the back of his head mean anything?

Oh, they look so sweet together.

I was going to say that the colour on the head meant opaline but I don't see the "V" of blue on the back. Let's see what the experts say. Such a pretty bird!!!!

:D Such a pretty bird and I love Coconut, wouldn't let my lovebirds get near anybody else but thank goodness there are exceptions to every rule! :)

He is very pretty. I remember him from when you got him.

The blue on the back of his head is because he's a spangle. Mine has it too.

Thanks, that explains it then. :(

Pheobe, I agree, lovebirds aren't usually birds that can be trusted w/ other birds. My other four aren't even allowed out at the same time as my budgie, p'let and two tiels. But Coconut is a little sweetie. Of course, he is only seven months old, so that could change in the future. In the meantime, however, he is supervised 100% of the time when he is around the other birds. I do hope it isn't something he'll grow out of though, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Welcome back and they are gorgeous

Aw snowflake is gorgeous! love the name!
