Posted February 20, 200718 yr My 2 budgies, Tweety And Bluey have been fighting quite a bit recently. which is basically anytime they go near eachother, although i have seen them feed eachother after meal times, but any other time they hav a go at eachother. Edited February 20, 200718 yr by Bubbles
February 20, 200718 yr Author who is starting it? Both. I never saw who started it off first. But it really depends who is in the worser mood. Like if say Tweety was sitting peaceful, bluey would disurb her. And vise versa.
February 20, 200718 yr What sex are they, how old are they, and what are the dimensions of the cage they are housed in? It could be a space issue.
February 21, 200718 yr Author I Don't think its to do with the space as there is plenty of places in the cage where they can go to get away from eachother. Most of the fighting takes place however on the highest perch. Bluey is Male, Tweety is Female. They are both around 21 weeks old
February 21, 200718 yr Author Bluey had his first outing today. He seemed to enjoy sitting from picture frame to picture frame, and it was quite hard to get him back into the cage. The main reason I decided to do it today, is to see the other bird's reaction due to the fighting. When she realised he was not in the cage, she started jumping around her, cage, chirping, squealing and flapping her wings. And he responded to her calls. And when I tried to bring her out, she was having none of it.
February 21, 200718 yr Author Had another wierd inncident. One minute they were both having a go at eachother and the next minute, they were kissing, he was grooming her and she was feeding him, so I am confused.
