Ozzie's Weight

We all know that i am forever joking about Ozzie's fat tum. :D But after weighing him last night and finding that he had gained 3g since i weighed him 9 days ago, making him 47g and 10g heavier than Blinkie, i'm worrying that he's gone from cute pudgie budgie to just being overweight (but still extraodinarily cute).

I already measure their seed (i guess Ozzie's eating more that his share), they get pellets sprinkled on top of their seed and they get plenty of veggies. I rarely give them millet and seed sticks are restricted to xmas pressies. They're out of the cage for 4+ hours everyday and Ozzie certainly spends this time running and flying around the place. I'm not sure how he's putting on this weight. :hap: Is there some way i can get him to slim down without affecting poor well toned Blinkie. :)

Could you take Oz out for some time without Blinkie? Oz won't be eating for that time and he'll be having more exercise. *L* Could you chase him a little during this time so he can get some hard core exercise? Blink can have some extra food at this time.

Could you separate them for a day or two and find out exactly what each is eating? Maybe you can have some time where there's no food in the cage. Maybe you could get (or make) a mix of seeds that have less fattening ones in it - less millet or something. Or feed them their seeds separately and take it out when they're together.
