I saw mention of "Wing Twitching" in other threads, but not sure if it's the same thing my girl is doing.

Andromeda likes being against my cheek, it seems to comfort her. However she will do this funny little thing with her wing, it makes a little "flit" noise.

She also stretches her wings a LOT in her cage.

Is this all normal? What does it mean?

 

Also when we play "nice birdie" (I take her to see her reflection from time to time to show her that "the nice birdie" enjoys being groomed, etc) she opens her mouth against the reflection and makes a grinding noise. Her tongue goes in an upward fashion. What is she doing? No food is being transferred, I think there would be residue on the mirror if there was.

 

She seems to behave best when she sees the nice birdie being petted.

The flit noise sounds normal.

They stretch from what I understand because they are 1. nervous or 2. getting ready for flight. I find mine do it when I first start talking to them. Maybe they are stretching in case they need to fly from me (Laughing out loud).

 

She is trying to feed the mirror and she may not regurgitate food yet but don't be surprised .

What does the little "flit" mean? Is it a happy thing? Nervous?
