I may be adding this budgie to my flock... does she look healthy to you? I am worried about her moulting her feathers because I just heard about French Moult and I hope she doesn't have it. She is quarantined right now just in case...

Moderators message...your pictures have been changed to links as they are larger than the allowed 450 by 450 size. Thankyou

She does look a bit scruffy with the tail feathers. What was the cage like where you got her? overcrowding can cause tail pulling and chewing which could explain them.

The staining around the nostrils could be a sign of airway infections. Since you are already worried I would look for an avian vet (if you don't have one yet) to get her checked out while in quarantine to get all checked out.

Thanks. Yeah the cage was overcrowded, so it could be that. I'm going to call the vet ASAP in the morning when they open. Thanks so much for responding! Sorry I asked you if she looked okay in another thread; I hadn't seen this response :D

I agree quick check at the vets she is a pretty girl. Good job on quarentining her so many people don't :D

Well I had her looked at and they said she seems pretty good overall. I don't know if they were that qualified though. They did prescribe antibiotics (Baytril), just in case something is ailing her. I think she's okay and just needs some TLC...
