Posted January 9, 200718 yr hi all i need some answers TO some questions i have about my budgie rogue. firstly when i rub his cheeks he turns his head sideways nearly upside down closes his eyes and makes a clicking sound. does this mean he is enjoying his little cheek scratch? also he is about five weeks old and somtimes while he perches on my hand he does a weird little head bob/shake and all these seeds start flying from him. is he regurgitating the seeds are de-husked? is he too young for him to this...its only a couple of seeds maybe 2 or 3....also whilst he perches on my finger he nibbles my finger very gently not biting but very gentle nibble...does he like me? i spend every waking moment with him i still hand feed (finally he accepts the egg biscuit) and he often eats seeds. i really want to develop a strong bond with my bird as i love birds i call them angels of the earth. can anyone tell me if this is behaviour which means he is warming to me or likes me? also is he old enough to perch whilst sleeping...atm he sleeps in a shoe box with shreds of an old pillow case and shredded paper. he perches on my finger but still cannot fly he flaps his wings but doesnt move...... thanks to anyone who replies.... from chris and rogue BIRDS RULE!!!!!!!!!!
January 9, 200718 yr Hi Chris, I am no breeder, so I can't tell you what age they learn to regurgitate their food, but it sounds like he adores your head scratches.
