Butternut Squash?

To cook or not to cook, that is the question. (Laughing out loud) I just wondered if our birds can eat uncooked squash or seeds? There are squash seeds in my tiel mix but I don't know if they are cooked or not.

Thanks,

Shell

I know they can eat squash cooked or uncooked but haven't heard anything about the seeds. I'd assume they were okay since they're included in a seed mix but since we're not sure, maybe avoid them until you find out for certain? I know that usually it's the seeds of fruit we have to look out for. I put squash in my cooked or fresh mixes sometimes and my birds don't seem too thrilled either way, but yours may love it. :) And knowing mine, they'll love it a week from now only to snub it again a day later. :)

Thanks Terri,

I have given them squash baby food before and they ate it pretty well. I just cooked the squash I bought today, and gave them some, but I guess I will throw the seeds away.
