Hi,

 

How many budgies do you think will fit in this sized cage?

 

32 inch high

16 inch wide

 

I currently house 2 budgies in this cage. Would it accommodate another 1 or 2? There is currently 1 male and 1 female in there that are 1 year and younger.

Hi Hilly, your cage is very tall, but not very wide, so the budgies will mostly use only the top of the cage. I would probably only keep the 2 in there, but I'll let more experienced people give you their opinions.

I agree with Feathers. The cage you have is more suited to canaries or finches. Budgies like a wider cage so they can fly across it. Canaries and finches flit up and down a cage so like the higher cages. I wouldnt add any more budgies to the cage you have now, but maybe you could try for a different kind of cage first before you get any more budgies. Others can show you their cages and where you can get a good one at the right price.

I personally think it is appropriate for 1 flighted budgie, 2 if they are outside for most of the day.
