Posted January 1, 200718 yr my cage is 23x19x21high can i have 3 males in this size cage there are 4 diffrent purches in langth if that matters
January 1, 200718 yr If they flying time outside of the cage every day for at least an hour, I would say that is enough space. However, I would definitely give them more than three perches and make sure the perches are of varying texture/shape. For instance, natural wood perches and rope perches are great additions to most any budgie cage. Budgies love them and they're good for the feet. Maybe you have these already, but it sounded like you're using regular smooth dowels? These can eventually lead to arthritis, bumblefoot, and other foot problems. Hope this helps!
January 2, 200718 yr thanks as of right now i have one and he is out of his cage for atleast 2 hrs a day. i have 2 dowle purches and 2 diffirent kinds of wood purchas one skiny and one fat. and one swing. so i guss that is more like 5. i will be adding a rope purch once i add more budgies. i also have a small playstand for them when they are out
January 2, 200718 yr Just remember, you'll also need a cage to quarantine the new budgies in for at least thirty days. I wasn't sure if you knew about that or not. Glad to be of help.
