hi, i just realised my budgie sitting on the ground hunched up for about a week, i checked it and found a build up of droppings on it's bum, i diped it in water and slowly took it off, now i have it in a cage and it's still all hunched up on the ground acting dead

so what can i do?

A budgie sitting on the ground sick for a week needs immediate treatment. Having a clagged up vent might have meant he hasnt been able to poop properly and that would make him a very sick little bird. Does he feel very thin ? At this stage you really do need to take it to a vet. Have you a lamp near the cage for warmth, while you phone the vets for an appointment ?

I agree, your budgie is very sick and needs a vet straight away. An avian vet is best (someone here can help you if you can't find one).

Keep him warm, let us know how it goes.

I hope all is okay, keep us updated on how the bird vet visit goes.

Awwww, poor budgie!!! Hopefully it's better! Hopefully the rest of your budgies are safe if this one has caught something bad :ausb:
