Posted December 15, 200618 yr Hello I have been one to often trawl forums looking for answers without ever actually signing up and joining in, and this forum is one I've visited a lot but never participated in. Why do I visit? Because I've been planning lots to adopt a baby budgie! I had a friend who recently lost a budgie and gave me some sound advice that should I ever want to get a budgie, I must be prepared before hand because the little things are very susceptible to bad care I have now adopted a budgie, a lovely green/yellow girl (At least I think she is one!) who now goes by the name Gwyneth I hope to become a regular member of the community here and look forward to it!
December 15, 200618 yr Welcome to the forum, will be watching for pictures of Gwyneth and how she comes along. One of our members, eTerri has her own budgie webpage as well with tons of awesome advice in training.
December 16, 200618 yr Thanks, Phoebe! It took me awhile to find a post which Eterri was in so I can find the website. www.*******.com What a great website! *bookmarks* I've learnt that Gwyneth could be either boy or girl! I remember learning that girls had pinkish ceres, which is why I thought Gwyneth was a girl, but learnt from Budgie Talk that young ones can have pink ceres no matter what their gender. I guess I just have to wait and see! Edited August 27, 200816 yr by **Liv** removed competing forum
December 16, 200618 yr I am hopeless at sexing budgies but if you post a picture here (please read the rules first about the allowable dimensions of your photo before you do so) and the expert people here will be most likely able to tell you if Gwyneth is a male or a female.
December 16, 200618 yr welcome aboard if you go to our FAQ section you will see general budgies faqs and there are good pics of sexing budgies.
December 16, 200618 yr Hi Weather, welcome from me too. I'm looking forward to getting to know you and Gwyneth better. Feathers
