As many of you know my pair Kirby and Belle have their second clutch...there are 6 babies (6th born tonight)...Their names so far are JellyBean, Bubble Gum, Skittles, Starburst, Mars, and Reese.. :hap: Here are piccies of them taken 5 minutes ago Enjoy them guys!!! 5 babies... Bubble Gum JellyBean and Bubble Gum Starburst and JellyBean JellyBean and Skittles... Nest Box mom made me Baby Reese...born an hour ago ENJOY THEM GUYS!!! Kirbs
December 6, 200618 yr beautiful babies, glad i live close so i can steal some of yours!! oardon my ignorance but i'm nestbox challenged and cant seem to figure out how yours works...theres no hole that could see do you just leave thr top flap open?
December 6, 200618 yr Author Thanks you guys I know, baby budgies are sooo ugly they are sooo cute!! :hap: (Laughing out loud) hha Candace...No, there is no entrance yet...My mom made it, but we still have to drill the front whole in The birds are in the black nest box (seen in last picture)...This wodden plywood box is 12" long, 8" wide, and 9" tall or so abouts... Its very well built, and has two hinges that open the whole top so i dont have to worry about any babies falling out when i want to see them..I driled 5 air whols on either side of the top of it..for ventalation Also, im not making it into a final nest box yet becuase first of all im not setting up anymore pairs for at least a year, and when i get my tiel around xmas, this is going to be his travel cage Its big enough, well built, will keep him warm, and pretty light weight... I may make another one in spring to use for breeding, then keep this one as a trvael cage for my tiel, or budgies Would work great!!! Kirbs

December 7, 200618 yr Author Thanks everyone!!!! Yes Reese..is peanut butter cup chocolates Sooo yummy!!! (Laughing out loud) Flopping fish... Yes, i have 1 left for sale!!! This pair in the past has given me a white recesive pied, yellow face skyblues, a violet normal, a cobalt normal, and a yellow face cobalt. So far from this clutch i have a yellow face cobalt, a white recessive, then others are too young to tell..Sadly, 6th baby dies lastnight..got trampled But i still have 1 left for sale...you oculd be the 5th I never knew we were so close!! Thats soo cool!!! Nice to know! Kirbs P

December 11, 200618 yr Hir Kirby Great pics and cute babies. Hows mum doing second time around? I also have a mum on her second clutch and thought she might stop at 4 eggs but last count we had 9. I'm really worried about how she will go. I love Reese chocolates too! My sister in law had some bought over in bulk from America a couple of Christmas's ago. Very addictive!!! But we don't have them here. :bluebudgie: I love all the names for the babies.
December 11, 200618 yr More pics Kirby.... please!!! Budgiebaby... there are lots of recipes for making things that are similar to Reeses peanutbutter cups. Here is one that looks good. http://www.cdkitchen.com/recipes/recs/186/...r_Ba60364.shtml And some people make them with an icing sugar recipe that is also yummy. They are my favourites.
