I'm an editor from an educational publisher in Melbourne. We are hoping to find a hand-trained budgie to 'star' in a book for children.

The budgie needs to be able to perform the following while being photographed by a professional photographer (possibly with flash):

-sit on a perch in cage (several different shots)

-sit on the edge of the cage door or just outside the cage

-fly inside a house

That sounds really cool!!! My chucky is tamed but not sure you would class her as trained ehehe......although she can do most of the things suggested!! heheeh

I think bobby is to good for a book.He is absolutely beautiful.

I love it, a budgie portfolio! I think Bobby would be perfect.. if anything he may even be over qualified for the position :ausb: He gets my vote.

oh my gosh Reibe I love the portfolio and my fav shot is where he is running his feather through his beak that is excellent I had to laugh.

Reibe I have come back to the post a dozen times I just LOVE that picture of his cleaning that tail feather what a fanastic shots and commentaries. Bobby is a star in my eyes

Bobby the movie star, love it! And he has such a fantastic biography, having gone camping, overcome his foot injury, he's a natural for the camera.

I think Bobby looks perfect! I just have to run his picture past the author as I just realise that she had initally requested a green and gold budgie - I'm not sure if that was for any particular reason though. And I'm sure Bobby will win her over!

I'll let you know when I hear back from her (probably tomorrow).

I think the common coloring of the wild budgie maybe that is why but what paintshop can do to the coloring. :budgiedance:
