This is a really broad questions and could take days to answer.

Suffice to say Budgies can catch things from ....

Other birds.

When quarantine isnt used and the newly purchased bird goes straight in with the others.

When wild bird droppings pass into the aviary where your birds are kept.

From the soil.

 

They can catch things that mostly can be life threatening.......psittacosis, coccidiosis, megabacteria, worms, etc, etc.
