Peeling beak

Hay all,

about a month ago i noticed skys beak pealing (not cracking though) he was eating, drinking and acting normal. But he did not use his cuttle fish bone or eat his vegetables. i was worried that he was dificiant in something, i spoke to the lady i bought him off (not a vet but very helpful) and she thought it was scaley beak. i got some drops to wipe his beak with every other day for 12 days. it has now cleared up fully. i have now ground up his cuttle fish bone and mixed it into his seeds. she said it does different things but the main is to help the egg shell harden in hens and reduced egg bind. i think sky is male but im not sure. hope this helpssome one.

(sorry about the spellings)

I'm just wondering if oystershell may be any good? I'm certainly not an expert but it's good for calcium deficiency.

my budgies' beaks peel towards the tip all the time. most budgies keep theirs in check by 'whetting' or rubbing it on a perch or something.
