Does any one know the answers to the following questions:

How much should a crested budgie cost?

Why is it apparently leathal to breed 2 cresteds together?

Why are they so small compared to other Budgies and no Show bird size is present?

Does any one have any pictures of Crested budgies?

&

How many People own cresteds?

It says nothing about them being breed together is lethal though.

 

There was recently a crested breeder that joined our forum about a month ago do a search and you will find his name. I don't remember it off the top of my head.

no this isnt a quiz i just think that no one understands the crested varietie and they are rare so im trying to get people to gather information on them a share it around, if anybody knows approximation answers then write it. there are no right or wrong answers in this topic, just pure learning.

The members may now know the answers and that is why no one has posted , so if you teach us more that would be wonderful. I know I am a total novice to the crested and I would have to research to find the answers above and some of us may not have time to do that but we do want to learn (please don't be offended).

 

I would have no clue how much one would cost in the US let alone find out how to find that cost.

 

I did read it was not lethal to pair them but if you do you can come up with I believe just normals.

 

No idea why they are smaller then most (I is part of the genetics) I would think like your recessives and violets which tend to be on the leaner and smaller size.

 

I don't have a picture of a crested or own one or know if anyone that does.

 

:sad: Have never seen them in Canada in my travels. Maybe they are at birdshows (which I don't frequent) but I have never heard of them before this. :greenb:
