Big Enough For 4?

Featured Replies

Posted

I have a cage with 2 budgies in at the moment inside my house, and I have 2 other budgies in a much bigger cage outside I'm not planning on putting all 4 together in the inside cage but I was wondering if something happened and I needed to put them all in the inside cage would it be big enough for 4 it is

56cm wide

38cm tall

45cm deep

Sorry its in cm my daughter has hidden my tape measure with inches on it, it is a big cage and the 2 in it at the moment have heaps of room, and those measurements don't include the mess tray that is under it, so the measurements are the room the budgies have it

thanks

I would really love to know if anyone could help? ;)

I would if I knew cm I only know inches so if you can convert for the me that would be great ;)

It is roughly...

22' wide

15' tall

18' deep.

I'd say that cage would be good for may be two. It is not a very big cage at all.

My two indoor pairs live in 23' (29cm) x 22' (26cm) x 26'(66cm) cages. Each pair has their own cage.

Oh yes just 1 or 2 budgies but not 4. Thank you Cheeta.

wow okay thanks lovey an cheeta, my 2 budgies actually look small in it, they have heaps of room, but thats cool was just curious

If they can't fly or stretch their wings then it is too small. I had one that was a bit smaller then you and would fit 2 budgies but they would have not been able to stretch their wings. Now I don't mean full flight just enough to be able to fly from perch to perch. Alway go for above average because there may be a day or so that you can't let them have flight time and you want them to be able to stretch their wings.

yeah I know what you mean by how small they may actually look in a cage... I usually have to look hard to start off with to see my budgies are in their cages.

Like Lovey mentioned, the bigger the better, and of course they need to be able to stretch their wings a flap a little without hitting things in the cage and also the cage mate(s)

since I posted my cage on another post and I have it here is an example of a cage that would fit 4 perfectly and 6 too but not more.

I got it on e-bay for just around 100.00 with s&h included.

Cheeta and lovey I would really love your input on a question I have posted in health questions and tips, if you have time :)

Lovey, my cage in green, just like you said. It is not exactly the same, but it is pretty darn close. Your door looks larger than mine and the crossbars are not quite the same.

$100 US I assume.... good price with p&h included.

Yep 100 US, feathers

I answered you on the post Jules

Hi lovey;

There's 2 1/2 cm to the inch.
