Old Eggs

okay I'm sure lots around here know of Freckle and her new family, But what I need to know is How long should I wait before taken the two eggs that didn't hatch out?

If I'm right one is two weeks overdue (I belive it's the first egg) and the second is a week over, (the last one)

Freckle is still tucking them under her when ever she is in the box so I was wondering if that was stoping her from starting the cycle again and starting her second clutch.

But I don't want to leave them too long in fear of making the babies sick or something.

I would say that a week after the last egg was supposed to have hatched would be long enough. If they are turning grey or discolored at all, I'd definitely take them out before then. I had two that didn't hatch, I took one out one day, the second out the next day so they wouldn't both "disappear" at the same time. I wasn't sure if it would bother Skittles to have them both go away at once.

okay thanks Rainbow that what I was thinking would be long enough. I will take one one and the next tomorrow like you said. She isn't realyl sitting on them just when she is in the box, other times I see them halfway on the other side of the box and they are getting cover in poop, like most of the box :(Laughing out loud): I'm planing to clean that soon too. and add some more sawdust.

Oh and either from what I can tell look grey but I knew before one was clear when te egg was still clean.
