Tweeting Fills My House Once More

I've not really been that active on here since the sudden death of my lovely little yellowface Smudge. I always knew another budgie would find its way into our house...after over 10 years with budgies, the house feels odd without them. I had been in the petshop last weekend and seen a very chirpy young bird singing away, stealing the show. When I went back this weekend, said bird was still there, again singing away...and well about 10 minutes later the little one was mine :D

My 3rd feathered friend is an albino, white with pink/red eyes...a bit different to my previous two brightly coloured boys! I know it's harder to tell with albinos what sex they are...the cere is purplish pink, but there is a little white around the nostrils...from the singing and just general way of the little one, I think boy...but I'm prepared to be proved wrong once I've taken some decent pictures to post on here to show everyone!!

And as for this new one's name, well, Snowy was just too obvious, so, seeing as he's an albino and it's getting near the festive season I thought a Christmassy name was in order, and he has been christened Holly...which makes him Budgie Holly :(Laughing out loud): He's been in full song all evening :)

How wonderful congrats. Sounds like a boy to me with the behavior and males can have slight nasel rings Pretty did and so does Merlin :). Pretty has the same type of cere an albino would.

:) So glad you are hearing happy music again, congrats on your new budgie! :D

Congratulations! I'm sure you'll be totally in love with Holly and before long he'll have you wrapped around his tiny claw! :(
