January 23, 200718 yr that is quite interesting . l think it is neat that you are able to go back and follow the genetic history of budgies
January 23, 200718 yr I think my Aussie has violet vactor in him as his colouration and feet are similar to Radar and he has just fathered a baby that looks like it has a violet gene and is opaline.I love the dark feet with the dark olive green.Radar is prettier than aussie though.
January 25, 200718 yr Wow that's amazing. It goes to show how splits can be carried down for ages with out a clue that they are there.

Radar suddenly took a dislike to her so I separated them. He then chose Swift for his new bride, from the aviary.

January 31, 200718 yr Author Radar and Swifts four babies are ......2 lutinos, one YF2 spangle, and what looks like a green normal...shade to be determined with more feathers. The lutinos the YF2 spangle The green normal Edited January 31, 200718 yr by Bubbles
January 31, 200718 yr Author what a combo Karen , they look wonderful Chicks are a decent size too Elly, which is half the battle in breeding healthy birds But both Radar and Swift make good babies. This is their first time together though.
January 31, 200718 yr Author excellent news, would any be good for the show ring? Probably not. Radar was a showbird reject...maybe not enough size for a showbird. Swift isnt one at all. But good bloodlines just the same to make some healthy babies. I am trying to improve my aviary birds by breeding better, bigger and healthier stock birds. I won't breed just anything anymore.
