Posted November 11, 200618 yr Hey guys Oscar (seen below) is a cobalt spangle cock. I got him from a breeder, and Oscars parents were a cobalt normal cock, and a skyblue spangle female. The siblings were 3 cobalt greywings, 2 cobalt spangles (thats including Oscar as one of them) and a single white skyblue recessive pied... Then Lilly (seen below) is what i think is a yellow face blue type II dilute recessive pied hen. She is a pet shop budgie baby. The question i am asking is could i get recessive pieds (either white faces or yellow faces) from this pair seen above? As Oscar has recessive pied in his blood (from a sibling) and Lilly is one ? ? ? Thanks guys!!! Kirbs
November 11, 200618 yr I think the short answer is Yes. How many ? Normal / recessive to recessive = 50% Normal/recessive and 50% recessive. Yellowface is a dominant in the blue series.
November 11, 200618 yr Neither of Oscar's parents was a recessive pied.. they were both split for it.. he's not definately split for recessive pied.
