Hi guys,

I promised pics of my big new cage. The flock is all together finally. Please forgive the quality of the photos, I had to use flash. The birds are very happy in their new home. They have plenty of room and lots of toys and natural perches. They have 2 large seed and pellet dishes, a huge water bowl and a dish for fresh foods. Having them all together has had an extra bonus too. All my birdies are now enjoying a variety of fresh foods!!

 

So what do you think?

Thanks guys! My babies are so happy. They used to screetch at eachother from separate cages and try to climb through the bars to get closer to each other. Today I went to the pet store and got them some more "egg Krackers" sticks and some millet to celebrate and yes they are all doing the happy dance! And when they are happy, I am happy. I love making new toys for them and rearanging their branches and finding new ones for them to explore and chew. Aren't budgies just grand?

That cage is massive! They will certainly enjoy themselves in there!

:budgiedance: I was very lucky to find such a big cage with 1/2 inch bar spacing, and it wasn't even very expensive. I bought it used at my local pet store for $150.00 I had been looking everywhere for a big cage for my flock and they were always either too expensive, not big enough, or the bar spacing was for big parrots. I was thrilled to find this one! I had a lot of fun hunting up great perches from our yard too.

I would love to, but I don't think my hubby would be happy with that. Next summer I will breed all three pairs and choose a new pair from among the babes. Since all of mine are unrelated, and so many different colors/mutations I should be able have some fine birds to choose from.

I am very tempted to get more now though! I saw the most beautiful love bird at the store the other day... she was pure yellow.. just gorgeous. There were two others with her. They were yellow too, but with peach faces. I was terribly tempted. I hope some one else buys them soon so I can stop being tempted! :budgiedance:

Shell give it a couple months and the cage won't seem that massive and the ones you have in there will fit just perfect :budgiedance:. I remember when I got the new cage for my 2 it was huge but now it is perfect.
