:D well after many years breeding budgies i have come across a problem that i honestly cant remember having before i paired up just over a week ago 7 cages and i put together a new hen in ripe breeding condition and a double factor spangle cock bird over the last three days the hen has shown no interest in him or the nest box seen this before so not unusual but the cock bird has been in the nest box for the last three days sitting in the conclave as if trying to lay or incubate as soon as i have chased him out he goes straight back in now i know about gay budgies but this is taking it a bit far

ummm, he's not a recessive pied is he. I've had problems with a couple of recessives doing strange things. :D:blink:

thats how my boy acts thats why my hen is not breeding he is always in then now and not letting her in if she gets in they fight

This'll make you laugh but....they're acting like Emu's!! The male does all the nest building and incubating, the hen just lays the eggs and goes and finds another male to lay eggs for!! All the emus with babies you see out the bush are males :P:P

(not that you'd see them over there!)

now that is interested I didn't know that (Laughing out loud) what a MAN and or maybe what a women :P

Heck male seahorses give birth to the babies all the female does is give him the eggs.

scratches and and thinks....:P
