 They are ALL beautiful but especially Crystal and Lilla. :ygbudgie:

they are absolutely gorgeous!! i especially love Mars and Buddha! so cute!

Karen, they look fantastic! I especially love Lilla - so unique looking! Mars - well gorgeous of course. And I like how regal Crystal looks. Is she big like her daddy? Do you think Dancer has a genetic defect with the foot - feathers look funny too - kind of reminds me of Daz's feather duster.

Wow has Crystal grown she looks like her dad with a longer neck - beautiful.

Lilla and Jasmine are gorgeous.

Dancer is a looker WOW.

Shame on you for taking a picture of poor Bubblegum out of his glory (side note he is still so handsome)

They are beautiful Karen as you know :P

OOOOHHHHHH!!!!!

Titan is a beauty too! It's so cruel of you to start out with Mars...you know how badly I wish I could have him.: :P

They are all just gorgeous.

Crystal isnt as big as her Dad, as her Mum is quite small. I don't think Dancers foot problem is genetic....it seems the result of a broken toe early in the nest and it has set wrong. Dancers feathers are fine, all there and its just that evry time I went to take a picture of her she was preening or mid preen. So she had a couple of feathers sticking out. :P

Mars is adorable. He has attitude and is so confident and cocky with it too. A brilliant flyer. Titan is special and I also have his sister. I am not sure which lovely girl to put Titan with yet.

Which ones are you considering? I'll help pick!

I have all kinds of females in the aviary so I can pretty much take a pick. What kinds would get me the best colours and types ? Spangles ? Or pieds again. The last unnamed hen in the series of photos maybe ? I like yellowfaces and pieds with a bit of spangle thrown into the mix like Mars. I love yellow face greys too. Titans sister is in a breeder cage with a dark grey spangle boy right now....newly introduced, bonding, no nesting box.

His shell markings are nice and dark against the white of his flights. He is a pretty budgie. How old is he? I'd love for you to post a picture of him from the front. But you know I am very biased towards pieds, so asking me whether to try for more pieds or not is a given. To keep the blues and grey (were his parents blue-based?) I would pair him up with a skyblue/cobalt/violet normal or another blue-series clearflight pied. Yellowface if you have a suitable one. In the picture of Goliath, is the bird in the back with the yellowface (same perch as Goliath) a hen? It is hard for me to tell with these eyes :P but that bird has a similar stance to Titan as well as a very nice head shape. Both birds have large spots too. Maybe post a closeup of that bird too. Oh yeah.

In the picture of Goliath, is the bird in the back with the yellowface (same perch as Goliath) a hen? Yes, but she died in a fast flying accident in the old aviary

I will get some more details and get back to you........Cheers karen :P

PS here is his sister xx-x270-1.jpg

I think Lilla is a violet opaline greywing. She has some funny stripey feathers right now which I am told will moult out to a better colour with her first moult.

 I am sorry about the hen. :P I wish I had not said anything now. I hope I did not make you feel bad. But she was a beautiful budgie.

He is so pretty from the front too! I just love the first picture! It's like he is looking at the camera and saying,"oh yeah, I'm handsome!" He may just give Blinky a run for the money on studliness, LOL. His mask looks like it is deeper than you usually see. He is such a pretty bird. And his sister is just as gorgeous! Think Bubblegum would like her when she gets a little older? Which bird is the YF DF violet? That sounds very pretty.

Bubblegum is gorgeous but is really a dead beat father, so the only way I would use him for anyhting important is to foster any eggs his female produces to a better pair of parents

Which bird is the YF DF violet? That sounds very pretty. She is a golden face and type 2 but DF violet. She was plucked as a baby and a lot of her shoulder feathers never grew back, so she looks a bit "moth eaten"./ I will try and get a photo of her for you.

Bubblegum and Salsa maybe....Mars definitely no :P

;) :hap:

Titan's sister ( does she have a name) looks to be opaline which can explain why he seems to have a lot of thriat spots.

Great pictures Karen :hap: *stares at Zuess plotting ways to steal him*

I knew I should have tried Lin's trick with the hair that day ;)

Yep, agree, Zeuss is a gorgeous one... I want a white bird with deep dark blue cere too!!! ;)

Her name is ZENA.......Yes I think she is opaline too.....and she has the opaline head flecking too. I will check back on the family history again and update.

Zeuss is a honey and looks after Buddha as a brother should. Zeuss is starting to look at the girls with a glint in his eye ;) They are both quite large birds. Might try Mum ( Melon ) and Dad together again when Dad ( Jonas ) is feeling better. He dropped bodyweight with a worming problem but is on the mend now. Just needs to get some more weight on and he will be right to go.

China is so beautiful! She's my fav. ;)

I thought China was a she when I bought the bird :hap: but looks like a male to everyone else and was acting male earlier today. Hasn't picked a girl yet so time will tell

They are all so beautiful. If I had that aviary I would be hard pressed to go to work or do anything remotely close to functional in society...I just want to get a chair, a nice cup of Earl Grey, and sit in the aviary and make bird toys while I watched them all day, LOL.

I am very lucky. I work from home now since I closed my shop. I have a great 3 room workshop only 20 feet from the birds. I design and make leadlight / stained glass windows the traditional way and I can now work from home to do that due to reputation and word of mouth work following me here. The birds are a HUGE distraction to my daily work :) but I can choose when to slow down and enjoy the birds and when to speed up and work into the night when the birds are sleeping. It's ideal. There IS room in the aviaries for a chair, a cup of tea and toymaking for sure :)
