Here's a couple of pics i got yesterday of Stinker and Mozzie.

Ozzie has been fighting a war against these irritating budgies who wont fall down ever since he's lived here.

Blinkie is fascinated by this empty packet of nuts

And when mean old mummy takes the nut packet away he goes and sulks by his latest girlfriend.

And here's a little video of Blinkie playing with the nut packet - he liked the rustling sound it made when i scrunched it up.

:D

 I love it Bea

poor Blinks he can never find just the right girl for his super sexy personality :D

Love Oz...I can see how that would get a bit frustrating.

Bea, Your birds are the best, and your comments are always entertaining as well.

Well the mouse has been his on again off again girlfriend for some time now - i think he likes her because she's blue like him. :D

And Ozzie's war isn't helped by the fact that i'm always right there to flick the wobbly budgie back up when he tramples it!

:) Love them and their choices of toys and  girlfriend. Just thinking, does Blinkie know the mouse is blue? Birds aren't color blind are they, somebody told me dogs were but I don't believe it. :D

Birds are not color blind they see like us. Dogs can see brighter objects but are considered color blind.

That was what I remember reading.

 Thanks Lovey, nice to know. :D

Dunno if you get this in other places but on Dr Harry years ago he said budgies were colour blind. :hap: I believed it for the longest time!

I think they believed all animals were for a long time (except maybe the primates) but they can see ultraviolet rays too. It makes sense if they couldn't see color how would they rely on finding their food from a far. Cat, dogs go after big objects and run. Birds especially the birds of prey have to stalk out smaller animals (usually) and see from a very long distance. Dogs are near sighted too except for the sight hounds (but that one I question too (Laughing out loud) Niketa can see pretty darn good for a husky).

aw they are so cute! i just love blinkie! thats really funny - oscar loves the sounds of crisp packets rustling!

Yeah i agree with Lovey birds aren't colour blind. Cheeky used to love anything as long as it was yellow! When i went to the birds of prey experience they said that one of the birds (hawk i think) could see its prey from about 3 football pitches away! i thought that was amazing!

Cute video, Bea! Listening to Blinkie's noises always perks my budgies up, lol. It sounded like he said something towards the end of the video, but I couldn't quite make it out. Do you know what it was?

The only say he says that i understand is kissy, i know he mumbles other stuff but i can't work it out.

I listened a few more times. It almost sounds like he says "gimme a kiss"...

Could very well be, he hear's that several times daily. Could be "gotcha kissy" cause i say that to him when i'm trying to kiss his belly and i finally suceed - he leans away and tries to avoid embarrassing mummy kisses.
